Cape Town International Airport is a large international airport with all the expected facilities and is currently undergoing extensive expansion and upgrading to meet the demands of the 2010 Soccer World Cup.

Flights to Cape Town are not cheap due to the distance involved. Early booking is therefore advised. In addition, it makes sense to try and combine the conference with a holiday or slightly longer stay for a once in a lifetime experience, such as a safari.

You will be met as you leave your plane, personally escorted through a dedicated immigration lane, taken to the ICEEP meeting desk and be on a coach to Spier as quickly as possible.

Spier resort is in open countryside around 5 minutes drive from the beautiful historic University town of Stellenbosch in the Wine Capital of South Africa, 20 minutes from Cape Town International Airport and around 30 minutes from central Cape Town.

There are generally no specific vaccinations required for visitors to the Cape. However, if you wish to enter the game parks and travel in certain other areas of Africa (Vic falls, Okavango Delta, Botswana, Namibia,) you are advised to be vaccinated against:

• Polio
• Tetanus
• Diptheria
• Typhoid
• Hepatitis A

In addition, you will also need to use insect repellent and take Malaria tablets.
