Other accommodation
Lorne has a wide variety of other accommodation offers including hotels, motels, hostels, bed and breakfast residences, and holiday homes. Many of these options are within easy walking distance of the Mantra Conference centre (Lorne is quite hilly) while others might require you to rent a car. If you are considering accommodation in another town, such as Apollo Bay or Fairhaven, please remember that traffic speeds on the Great Ocean Road are quite slow and that travel from these villages to Lorne will take some time.

An ideal alternative to hotels for laboratory groups or families is to rent a holiday house for the week. There is a wide range of options from luxury to budget. Depending on where the house is located, you might need a car to travel to the conference centre.
